It was a really lazy weekend, and we had absolutely nothing to do. So mom and I decided to visit Kiran’s (my cousin) farm house near Bagalur. We left quite late, by around 09:30 am, and were on Hosur road in no time (it was a sunday). After crossing Attibele, we entered Tamil Nadu. We took the road to the left at Zuzuvadi which leads to Bagalur. A few kilometres from there and we were there at the farm by 11:00. Its a small farm, less than 2 acres, but we were totally carried away by the peace and tranquility of that place. My cousin has built an amazing farmhouse in the western style, complete with wooden floors and wall paneling. I recollected watching those amazing holiday homes on Discovery Travel & Living!
After relaxing for some time with a hot cuppa coffee, we cooked lunch for all of us. We had a sumptuous meal, and went around the farm, looking at the crops and trees that were planted. Also got to see the drip irrigation system that was being installed there.
Under the hot afternoon sun, the one and only tree in the farm had bestowed its affection on us by spreading its shade. This welcoming gesture pulled us towards mother earth for a nice post-prandial siesta.
I also played around with my Sony DSC W50!
The Super Macro Mode put to test.
Experiments with light.
Some more time at the farm, and it was time to leave. We left at 18:45, and reached back home by a cool 20:30 … yeh hai bengaluru meri jaan!
Its really so nice to have a place like this, where you can spend your time during weekends, away from the hustle-bustle of the city … only that someone else should be maintaining it.

Dear Alemari,
It was nice reading your experience. I would also like to have farm house like this one day. But cannot afford it now.
Is there a possibility of your cousin renting it for a day on a Saturday may be where we wil go in the morning and come back in the evening?? Please do send me an answer even if it is No.
May you find many more nice places around Bangalore.
Regards,
Kumar
